Additional Income:
90% Lessons and Clinics
% of Junior Golf income based on involvement and program successes
Assistant Golf Professionals receive $1/club for re-grips and other club repair income is possible
Monday Outing Compensation based on number of players and number of staff working the event.

Cattail Creek Country Club is a premiere, private country club located in Glenwood, MD. The centralized location in western Howard County provides easy access to the Baltimore and Washington Metro areas. The Club is centered around its fantastic membership which creates a very energic family club atmosphere. The 2018 season will mark the 25th anniversary of the club. The suburb golf facilities entail a 18 hole championship course, three bay heated Learning Center on the driving range and a state of the art short game facility. The golf program is very active and maintains a strong passion for junior golf. It has hosted an AJGA Championship in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Additionally, the Club hosted the Middle Atlantic Section Assistants Championship in 2014, the MSGA Pro-Member in 2016, the MSGA Father-Son Championship in 2017 and will host the MSGA Maryland AM/Open Qualifier in 2018.

Cattail Creek's Professional Golf Shop was recognized for the 4th consecutive year with an AGM (Association of Golf Merchandisers) Platinum Award. The Golf Shop does approximately $825,000 in annual sales.

Cattail Creek is looking for an ambitious driven Golf Professional who strives to deliver world class customer service to the members and their guests. This candidate must have team first mentality and must possess fantastic communication skills. This position will assist the Head Golf Professional and other Professional Staff members with day-to-day golf operations. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasonal professional that still wants to travel for the golf seasons or a graduating senior from a PGM school.

Essential Responsibilities

Adhere to all policies and procedures of the facility and the Golf Operations Department
Assist the Head Golf Professional and other professionals in managing the daily golf operation
Control and manage daily play; ensure guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with cash handling policies and procedure
Help manage the daily operations of the Golf Shop, which may require general office duties
Interfaces with the professional staff and other departments to communicate daily activities, golf promotions, and special events taking place and to ensure the integration of those service functions meet the members expectations
Fully understand, interpret and enforce all golf rules and policies i.e. Pace of Play, Dress Code, Guest Frequency, etc
Assist in scheduling, organizing, coordinating tournaments, leagues and other special events
Maintain detailed files on all club tournaments and events
Assist with all aspects of maintaining and creating new ideas for the Club’s strong Women’s Golf program
Take a lead role and help manage the scheduling, implementation and execution of the clubs large Junior Golf Program.
Provide golf instruction and conduct clinics; Attend teaching seminars to increase your understanding of the golf swing and improve teaching ability
Play golf with Members of all skill-levels to generate enthusiasm and interest in the game of golf.
Attend national and sectional conferences/meetings, merchandise shows, educational and professional seminars to encourage development; Observe best practices and enhance the quality and image of the Club
Assist with merchandising and inventory controls
Ensure that any golf related supplies are ordered in a timely fashion
Perform club fittings and basic club repair
Positively reflect through personal appearance and behavior the culture and traditions of the club as defined by the Head Golf Professional
Any and all other duties as assigned by Head Golf Professional and/or General Manager
